Ah, I thought you'd brought it up before; but at least the whole show's up on the Archive now.
I had a difficult time picking out Lesh or Weir in the samples I heard, but it's still a unique interpretation of some of the Dead catalog.

This version of the octet is not the stellar line up that was on the album or on tour in support of the album.The recording on my thread from the GD Hour is a sbd and you really can hear all the instruments more clearly(not a knock on the fine audience tape made by Mr.Barbato),although Phil's bass could be louder in the mix.I would have to say that the music wasn't much different than what I saw without Phil or Bob joining in.I'm assuming Phil is the lone bass on the GD portion of the show since it doesn't sound like two basses and if you listen closely you can hear Weir's more rhythm like style and it seems he is a little tentative.
